More people are said to have announced their engagement here than any other restaurant in Manhattan, and Valentine's Day is the night the carriage house does what it does best. Candlelight against 1767 brick, both fireplaces lit, and a room quiet enough to hear each other. Each year's menu and seating times are confirmed in the new year and announced here.
In past years we have also offered a full private buyout of the restaurant for a single couple — the whole historic dining room, the garden, and our team for the evening. Whether we offer it in a given year depends on the calendar.
